When I bought my bike, I first had them run my credit, but then didn't buy anything that day. Next time I visited, I told them about these guys in Chattanooga, and said for this price I might just go buy it and drive it home to Orlando. I told him that I knew he couldn't match the price, and that I wanted to start a relationship with this dealership in case of warranty work, etc. I told him that if he could sell me the bike for something like $7200, I'd take it. They called me up and accepted the deal a week later....this was for a left over '03 purchased in December....

$8299 doesn't sound too bad if its out the door, but I suspect it is not, and that you'll be at $9k before you get outta there....
