Years ago I laid one down as the handle bars started tank slappin' on a washboard road. Didn't get hurt too bad, aside from some permanent hide scuffs. As the doc was patching me up, a state trooper stopped in & asked, "How fast were you going?" I replied, "Oh - maybe 30 or 40 MPH? Not really sure" He then said, "The reason I ask is that your peg scraped a gouge in the asphalt 262 feet long, so I'm giving you a ticket for speed too fast for conditions." I asked "What conditions?" He replied "Nighttime." The doc chimes in to the trooper "Nothing like adding insult to injury."
