I came off a bike just after passing my test. I took a bend too fast, in the wet, also the road had no aggregate. I ditched the bike and slid down the road for 40-50'. Luckily I had full protective clothing on (inc back protector). I luckily escaped with a grazed ankle
The bike was a write off...totally!!
Didn't get back on a bike for 5 years, due to not being able to afford one. If I'd had the money and the wife was ok about it I'd have got one straight away. I always beleive getting straight back into it is the best way.
Needless to say.. I learn't a lesson and now drive like a pensioner
