Yota seems very consistent with his claim that it will be 1620cc.
Does he know something we don't?

I'm sure the voices in his head tell him a great many things we are not privy to.

I can't believe I'm resurrecting this thread, but I just saw this over on Trat.net in the Rocket III forum:

Quote:

After a long conversation with the rep and stating that I had the last year T-Bird. He said Oh don't worry the "Thunderbird will soon live again,...it just won't be a triple." He then stopped and said he spoke to soon and wouldn't crack on more information. Maybe this will be the long awaited 1530 thats been rumored.

The Thunderbird wouldn't be a bad name for the bike. Plus it would p!ss a lot of people off. And I love it anytime that happens.

Bring back the T-Bird... That would be great!

IF, it does in fact turn out to be a 1600cc. Then should it not be called the Triumph Herald.

Seeing that Triumph originally owned the name Thunderbird and licensed Ford rights to use it, they should keep a model in the line with the name. I think it would be the best of the no longer used names. Speed Twin isn't bad, but for a new cruising bike, Thunderbird would be better. SM or TA would confuse it with other production models.

I like the 1776 idea call it the Independence, there history, flag waving etc, oh its made in England maybe this wouldn't go over so well.
Better cut it down to 1215 and call it the Magna, I but Honda won't mind much.

I think the deal was brokered by Renault.
