Curious if anyone has found an online store that may stock things like a speedo cable. Mine broke on the way home from work today. When I unscrewed the end on the forks all but 6 inches of the cable slide out, had to unscrew the cable from the back of the speedo to get the rest of it. Ran a bunch of Google searches, but came up empty so wondering if anyone has had any luck with any internet stores.

barnett clutches will make a new one to your specs. you will have to send them your old one so they can press the end on. good quality, have their cables on mine.

Barnett makes it very nice

OK I don't have a great pic, but I got mine braided stainless to match my other cables/lines.

I thought there was a post in the tech vault somewhere about using a "universal speedo repair kit" or the like. Something like you would get to fix the speedo in an old chevy truck. It apparently came with several different ends, one of which fit into our speedo's? If I remember right it was available at most auto parts stores and on the cheap (I think less than $10.00)?

30.99+shipping at Bike Bandit.
I just ordered one Sunday and it hasn't shipped yet. They say Triumph parts may take a few days longer.

Mine just broke at 24004 miles - about 2 inches from the bottom. I ordered one from my dealer last Thursday and it came in today (Wednesday). Not too shabby considering Triumph was supposed to be closed on Monday for the presentation of the '08 models to the dealers. Bike Bandit and the dealer price is usually about the same.
I'd be a little leery of some quick fitzall auto parts cable. The drive on the front hub is a little cheesy and if it goes bad the shrapnel can migrate into the front wheel bearings.

Just my opinion. Your results may vary.

Thanks everyone. Bigbill thanks for the link, cable is on order. I spent a bunch of time before I posted my question on Bike Bandit and couldn't find it,....never thought about looking under the Speedy and then looking at Handlebars...I actually thought it was more fork than handlebar related so go figure. Anyway, thanks again to everyone. Oh and mine broke at 1,845 miles incase anyones checking.
