I recently bought this jacket on EBay..

Here's the auction link: http://cgi.ebay.com/?ViewItem&item=270172969387

Jacket looks awesome and is only $215 plus shipping. It is custom made according to my specs (I picked standard specs) and has all of the normal acoutrements you would expect from the $420+ ones in the dealership showrooms. It took them about three days to get it made. I mentioned to the dealer in am email that I thought it was a very good turnaround time. He replied that they have lots of designers and stichers on staff and can turn these custom jackets around very quickly. So far the seller has been very responsive.

Here's the strange part,
The seller lists the item's location as Ontario Canada (which is probably where he is), but according to FedEx, it is being shipped from "KARACHI PK". Yes, that is Karachi Pakistan!

The FedEx tracking shows it having traveled from Karachi through Dubai and Paris to Memphis. It is currently in Memphis, but is supposed to be delivered to me in Colorado by tomorrow. I'll post more when I know more.

Oh! Here is a screen shot from the FedEx tracking page...

PS.
I forgot to mention that shipping is $50. Substantial, but the overall cost is still well under $300. Awesome for a custom made jacket.

Another thing I have wondered is, if they can make it without the Shell or Arai logos. I didn't specify that and mine is coming with them, but I was just wondering aloud.

Update:
I asked the seller and learned a little more. They have a website here...

http://www.daytonabikerwearco.com/about.htm
(annoying flash-based website with the same rock and roll lick playing in a loop... constantly)

Where they have a few different styles of Triumph jackets, as well as other bike brands.

Turns out they sell the same jacket for $199 on their website, so I overpaid by $15. poo.

I just spoke to FedEx and the package was delayed in customs because it was marked as a "gift" and valued at $20. I guess this made the customs officials suspicious so they delayed it a bit. FedEx says it has now cleared customs and should be here tomorrow.
