Are the TOR's the same length as stock? Also, I have two baffles drilled out and 3 1/2 holes in the third plate. Which would be louder?

'06 TBA - Black, AI and Snorkel removed, K&N Drop In, Gutted Stock Pipes, 145/42, 2 turns out.

My stock pipes with 2 baffles beat out and two 1/2" holes in the third are louder than my slash cut TORs.

Not to get off the subject, but is there a site with a
sound byte of TORs? Long or Short, or both.

That link for the video sounds like my new bike. It's a good sound - not normal.

Found the sounds, looks like I'm going with the TOR's.
But do I have to mess with removing the AI and rejetting, or
can I leave things alone right now?

The dealer I bought from rejeted and took off the emissions stuff (shh) I am not sure if it NEEDS to be done, but I am guessing it will run better. I'm sure other here know more about it than I do.

I would rejet if you installed the TORs. Pat's jetting calculator shows a 124 main if you install this exhaust (thats with a stock intake). Your bike will probably run with the TORs and no rejet but it will be very lean - not healthy. You could have some driveability problems with flat spots when accelerating. You will have problems if you pull your intake snorkels or install a Uni filter in the future.

The AI doesn't have to be removed with the new exhaust. Most people remove it to help get rid of the popping on deceleration. Removing it will also help reduce blueing of your header pipes. It doesn't have to be done.

The AI's optional and not related to the fitting of exhausts.

I had TOR's fitted by the dealership and was told that they don't come with extra jets. It runs fine but, with them being lean from the factory, I don't think I'd want to try anything else to improve the breathing without rejetting. Still got my snorkel in.

The AI if left in will promote blueing of the headers and will cause loud popping on decel.

Rejetting is recommended.

If you're uncomfortable messing with it, get your dealer to remove the AI and re-jet. It will run so much better you'll be glad you did. I'd remove the snorkel and stick in a UNI filter before they re-jetted. Very cheap cost and a big improvement in performance. The standard setup is way too lean and will cause it to run hotter. Plus, you won't have to worry about blueing (discoloring) your headers.
