Your jets might be OK with stock pipes, because they aren't as big as some pipes require. Like Moe said, your sparkplugs will tell you for sure.
For the idle jets, adjust one for best idle speed, slow the idle speed back to normal, then adjust the other for best idle speed. This compensates for differences between the carbs. Adjusting by turn count doesn't work as well as it might because of these differences and is only good for a rough initial setting.
