Great responses - thanks guys! Makes me feel better about getting rid of my 05 Ducati ST3 and getting into an America.
So I will ride the bike in town a lot, about 4 miles a day, IRON BUTT
, under 40 mph to work and back. Once in a while the wife and I will take a trip to the nearest "big town" about 45 minutes away, and I would guess about once or twice a year I will ride with her for a few hours or longer. Other than that I will go out and enjoy the bike on the straight booring roads in central Illinois when I have free time. So that is how the bike will be used. Oh, I prefer not to ride at night - LOTS of deer around here.
So the dealer I am trading with at MCC said that he would install the accessories for FREE - I emailed to be sure about the mufflers - waiting to hear back. This is what I am thinking based on the riding I will do - let me know if you have better suggestions:
-Triumph Long mufflers - $385
-Tall sissy bar and rack - $370
-Floorboard kit - $315
Not sure what else - engine dresser bars, tach, clock, ??? Not sure!
OH - is it weird using floorboards and the regular shifter?
