I get 42 mpg whether I give 'er heck or baby it...highway or city...beats driving an SUV...if you are really worried about it trade your bike in for a scooter...face it a few miles per gallon when you are getting 40 doesn't have near the impact that a few miles per gallon have when your down in the teens
