I am still here. Haven't posted in a while due to various circumstances. I have had the pleasure of having 2 children born within the past 2 years. I also have been working on my various cars getting more into that. I decided I check in to see whats going on. I still have my Rootbeer America that has recently been pinstriped by a local artist. I did sell my Black America to Brokenfixed. It was actually my brothers bike who sold it to me because he needed money to buy another project. I didn't have it long, maybe 2 weeks before I sold it to Tom. I hope its doing well. Fryguy  Quote:

Glad to see you are still around, Toms bike was doing well last I saw it. He brought it to me to get it running right. Straightened out a bunch of small stuff that were causing it to cut out and rejetted it and then we went for a ride. Seemed to be running strong. We also went on a longer ride later that summer and was running strong then too.

what about resbos15 (rebos18?)? he introduced me to this site. remember he chromed like 1240 pieces of his bike and he was one of the first on here with an R3.

As I remember Adey decided we could all get stuffed and had his name removed from the site.
He didnt do it quietly he made a lot of noise about it and I thought he was quite insulting. I didnt know his reason but assumed he must have had one. I know he couldnt take a joke, but I never saw any posts that were that bad. Still he spit the dummy big time.  Took his ball and went home.

Having met Adey, albeit briefly, and having conversed with him on here, I can assure you that he not only has a great sense of humor, but he is a quite rational mature individual.

Hiya Deon, Yet again the loyalty and willingness to jump to the defence of fellow riders on this site impresses me. I too know Adey, I remember him joining the site. I went on rides with him etc. Of course that was on our home turf in the UK. I agree he could be charming. I used to banter with him on the site - look up some of the posts if you like. Maybe I just pushed the wrong buttons.  So I will say no more. As you say - never critisise another unless you walk a mile in their shoes first. Mainly because then you will be a mile away and they will have no shoes Nice to meet you Deon - but lets just agree to disagree on this one

No harm, no foul. To me, anyway. Personalities clash only to merge and clash again. This site is here to share help and adventures and (gasp!) opinions relative to Americas and Speedys. It brings so many diverse people together that a disagreement is inevitable. Even though Adey's departure was a bit funky, I still value having known the man, and, he rides a Trumpet....

Thanks for taking care of Tom, Dog. I read some of Tom's posts and saw that the inline fuel filter needed to be changed and then had to rejet it to get it running right. Glad to see this board still takes care of one another. Good looking out.  Paul(FRYGUY) Quote:

No problem, the tip over valve was sideways too causeing it to cut out. Few other just as minor things. Had it running in no time and we went for a ride, think we stopped that day for ribs at an open pit BBQ here.
