Primero, I have good news for you and bad news. The good news is that a lot of movie and rock stars still live in California. The bad news is that they look a lot different without the makup and special lights.

She is taking part in a quaint old American custom called the "weenie bite". They hang a hotdog (small sausage) from a string and dip it in mustard. Then a couple rides slowly under it and the girl takes as big a bite as she can. The one who bites off the most wins.

It can fun to do, more fun to watch. Especially if either the driver or the biter does something wrong and causes a problem.

I don't really know if it is good or not. Some say you could be harmed for life from hanging around with this bunch.

Hey Primero

You have GOT to come to the European meet which is being planned for next year!!

I have said this before a few times, whenever someone posts a topic or question, it is amazing how quickly the subject changes - just like being in the bar with old friends.

Next time you are drinking with friends, at the end of the night think about what you are talking about and compare it with the first thing you all talked about and try and remember how you got from one to the other ... !!

Hey Primero
I just looked at your biography and see you work in medicine.
My wife worked in an orthopedic hospital for some time - she does CT and MRI.

My European atlas is not detailed enough - is Veneto the name of the town or region you live in?

I don't know what they are in Italian, but CT = Computerized Tomography and MRI = Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Correct - she used to do general x-rays for many years then moved to CT now she does both CT & MRI.

I had always wondered if the heavy magnetic field used for MRI would magnetize the iron in ones blood. Then the neighbor got one. The iron wasn't magnetized, but it seems to have turned into lead in his bum.

Sorry, I should have explained that. In the US, lead in the butt (or bum) is an expression meaning a person is slow or lazy. Culo is well known here because it is the same word in the dialect of Spanish that a lot of the local people speak.

To try to get back to the original thread, we have something similar in England. (I wonder if these are laws that have been forced on us by the EU?) The police can issue prohibition orders against bikes that they think are unsafe/dangerous, or being used in a dangerous way - in the worst cases they can take away the bikes and crush them.

Fortunately they don't seem to do this very often
