Stay at a Holiday Inn Express the night before he gets there. You'll wipe the court with him!

What? It's not true? Horse puckey! I saw it on TV, for cripes sake.

Well I can't speak for FJ's Financial situation..but I know thr "R" sure as heII doesn't apply to me...and as far as the checkbook part...well I still got a note on my ride so I guess thats out too...

I always took "RUB" and "checkbook biker" more as an attitude than a actual condition...you know like... "All birds have wings... but not everything with wings is a bird...

All "RUB's" have $$$... but not everyone with $$$ is a RUB...

This thread gives new meaning to the term hijacking. I hope none of you ever has anything to say about appropriate posting and conduct in the future after this. It should be moved to its own section "what not to do to a members original post".

Russell, Russell, Russell, ( )

Most people here are not RUBs and I'm betting neither is FJ. Maybe you should calm down and choose another color for your bikes. How about a nice shiny black??

btw, I afforded my bike via my late father's estate, what little there was of that. I paid cash in the form of a check so I guess I am a checkbook biker!

Wait a minute. I am not a biker and never will be.
I do like to ride though!

Does writing a check for the payment every month make me a checkbook biker?

maxwellpgh's post http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...ge=0#Post260915 is a good example of what we have been talking about. That is the kind of guy that deserves to be bashed.

The kind that does not, but we may trade sarcasms with, are the ones that know that there are more than just HDs and Japanese bikes. These are the same people that even though they are loyal to their brand (whatever brand it is) still respects and appreciates other brands and that other people are loyal to other brands (and are glad that that people are riding), but we all look out for each other on the road.

A RUB would NEVER ride a Triumph anyway...way to cheap...and no where NEAR enough status in them...doesn't have a V-Twin...didn't cost $25,000.00 base price...

It would be a gross disservice to assume in reality that anyone RUB or otherwise might NOT respond as these riders did.

Being a good citizen is not contingent upon ones degree of experience riding a motorcycle. Nor is ones degree of relative tendency to be a good samaritan if a situation calls for it.

It certainly is not contingent upon what brand of anything we drive, ride or play with.

Truth be told we probably all know some RUBS who are very nice people ...even if they only ride their shiny chromed Harleys on the weekend.

Man, Looks like I have to go steal a motorsickle in order to not be a RUB. Jeez. But now I would be a 1%er?! I am SOO confused. A self imposed exile may be in order. That way I could surely avoid the dreaded Scarlet RUB.

Have to agree with Kevin here. I know a lot of very nice people(why they hang with me is anybody's guess) who ride Harleys and I know for certain that they would do the very same thing these riders did.

(and of course, "nice" doesn't always mean "knowledgeable" anyways...right?!)
