Do you know when the 08's are due out, and specifically color choices for the Speedmaster?

One would hope they should get this right straight away. They have been putting EFI on their sport bikes for a few years now. The original 600TT sport bike with EFI was a dog and they got battered by the British m/c press for it. But they got that sorted well.
I would image they learnt their lesson with the 600TT. I dont think they want to get the same treatment again on another model. I would not expect any problems with the new EFI Twins.

I use to own a 600tt, and dog is a understatment.. But motorcycles are like anyhting else. When something new comes out, it has bugs.. I had bought one new model car in my life, it spent more time in the shop then it did on the road. I figure if you wait a few years let them iron all the bug out it will be a great bike.. In the mean time one could buy as many fuel injection theory, adjusting, and programing books and be ahead of the curve when they get one!!

Oh man! I knew I should've hurried back to my Dad's house with the scoop. I just heard this today at SoCal Triumph. (Oh, and no 1500cc cruiser for '08, either)

I'd wait and see how the results turn out. It seems most bike manufacturers can't seem to get the FI tables right the first time out, no matter their experience level. Witness the Yamaha FZ1, took them what, two years to fix the FI glitch which greatly effected the way the bike rode.

Friar John, The owner of my dealership told me two weeks ago that they get to see the 1500cc twin at the dealer's conference this coming month, but the bike won't be available for sale until late next summer. We'll just hafta wait. I shouldn't say that, I ain't gonna get one anyway. My next bike will be a full blown tourer for my bride's comfort.

I must admit, my TT600 was a bit of a dog at first until the remapping, then it was fantastic.
As already said, I think Triumph will of pulled up their socks for the next generation of cruisers with EFI
