I cut appx. 4" off of the fender and basically just moved the tailite up. I had to use a different seal/weatherstrip to take up the extra gap around the bezel since the curvature was different in the new location and it looks factory. To cut the fender I used electrical tape to mark my cut and then a 32 tooth jigsaw blade. Very clean cut with no paint chipping.
