I'm thinkin' that if you'd go larger on the rear pully, in order to keep a ratio close to the 16/17/18 teeth countershaft chain spocket setup, you'd have to go a lot larger on the front pully also, and thus it could be too large to fit inside the sprocket cover without rubbing on it.
