I think a part of the US citizenship deal is knowing who won the 1935 World Series. Could be that was only a (kinda')good line in old war movies. I can't remember who won any of the last 20 series.

Real baseball is played by National League teams, while the American league has prostituted itself by adopting something called the "designated hitter rule". This rule was simply aimed at raising attendance/advertisers/revenue and has little or nothing to do with baseball.

I never understood why Europeans keep calling soccer football .
