With a statement like that I'm curious what the dumb mistake was, care to elaborate?

The places that I can think of that offer the BB kit (I am sure there are others): New Speedmaster Bonneville Performance South Bay Triumph Bellacorse I would suggest checking these above and doing a Google search for the best price.

I was adjusting the valves and got in a rush to finish. I pulled the cams to do it. Going back together it my marks were not lining up right so I spun the motor with the rear wheel then reinstalled cams with marks aligned right... Put every thing back together, hit the starter and ping, ping, bind! Oops. No, Major effin' oops! Can anyone guess what i forgot to check? Anyhow, now I need all 4 intake valves and a piston. Since i've got it this far apart, might as well go to a 904.

TDC perhaps?
Not the shims, I hope?
Man, once you spun that motor, you were screwed. If anyone else ever does that, you need to remove the alternator cover and align the motor with the marks inside there....

best practice is to NOT move the engine at all once you start to remove the cams until the job is finished.
