October 18-21. Just checking in to see who might be around. I sent a contact at Triumph an email to see if they are representing this year. My guess is "no". There might be some good stuff happening at our pissant dealership. Stay tuned.
Just got the word. The demo truck will be here for Biketoberfest this year.

Rossmeyer will get his usual zillion lurkers in the Triumph showroom in Ormond Beach anyhow. Huge crowd last year.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

I am going to plan on coming up Friday (leave here around 3-4). I doubt I can talk Janet into slabbing that far but maybe I can talk her into chasing with the truck?

I'll be in San Diego, CA working that week. Hope everyone has a great time, and ride safe.

Speaking of,...
Fran is riding to Leeds for the event. He knows some of the vintage dudes and Lynn is saying I need to ride up with him. hum. I guess I could just point Red or Vera and let em go. They know the way. Heck I might even get on one of em too.

As much as I have grown to dislike the Daytona bike events, I need to stay home and save my vacation for the holidays. Wish I could go. And, you just never know when there might be one more trip to GA. before it gets too cold up there...

This is getting to be a very unsatisfactory trend. Any chance this changes?

Allow me first to wipe the tears from my eyes. Ah, much betterer. Really. I am always up to see scantily clad chocolate pudding wrestlers and such. However, Fall Colours and Vintage days has my attention more than a bunch of bikers in Daytona.
So no, unless the Kentucky trip gets called off or I ride Vera up to the site of the 1963 campaign, where from a jail cell way back when I was still on my mother's teat, the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote, Quote:

Oh man! would love to come out and play and meet some of you guys, but don't know if I can take the time off from the bathroom refit. As small as this darn room is, I don't think it's ever gonna be finished (especially, if I keep riding the bike instead of working on that project).
Will have to let you know last minute.

Bathrooms are THE most time consuming and difficult areas to remodel. All the fields are small and you touch all the trades. Amazing how such a small space can eat up so much capital. Get the shite'er working and roll to Daytona.

Wide open. Nothing specific planned at all.
Update: Will be riding a Sprint on Saturday at 9AM. FYI, there will be two R3 Tourer models on display. No rides available on the new R3.

Riding a Sprint? I won't ask. Anyway I sure do miss not seeing yous guys. The party and all last year. Lynn and I were talking about Gordon, John, Phil and you last night. How much fun that was. Time flys brother. Enjoy biketoberfest. I'll be thinking of y'all as I mash the gas pedal. Looking for colours exposed by waning chlorophyll.

I hate to admit that the Sprint was something of a disappointment. The exhaust heat is no better than on the 2006 and the suspension is way too soft (realize it can be dialed in). Though I still love the looks, I doubt I will ever own one. Now the Speed Triple I tested. Wow. It was love at first throttle. Who would have thunk mild-mannered Ryan7771 would go houligan? Very comfortable and gobs of power at all ranges. Love at first ride. The Street Triple was completely booked for the day, so I missed out. Lots of talk, pictures, and crowds around the new Rocket, especially the red and black solo rider model.
"put that thing back on the trailer until March!" - a slightly toasty Ryan7771 to some jerk revving his gutted pipes over and over again.

I'm surprised you didn't take a Tiger out as well. I would have like hearing what you thought Ryan.

It was booked solid on Saturday, and I didn't have time to go out on Sunday. I will say that the guy behind me on the Tiger in my Speed Triple demo is buying one today (so he said). He was very impressed, and his wife could not stop smiling. It was great that in our line we had a Street Triple, me on the Speed 3, and the Tiger. We had a blast and drew many thumbs ups from non-Triumph riders.

Okay. Picture Homer Simpson drolling while he says... ...Speed Triple.
I have always loved the looks of those bikes. Were I to ride one, well I'd rather not think about that!
