Regarding their customer service.
Last year I bought a set of bags from Fox Creek. As I am a procrastinator by nature I waited to order them and received them two days before I was heading out to Sturgis and beyond. In the scramble of packing I threw them on the bike and strapped on everything else and off I went.
BTW. They are very nice bags, top quality.
Fast forward to this year and I am getting ready for this years trip down to the Smokeys and actually have a bit of time to take more care in getting getting the bags on straight. After struggling and failing to get them straight it became apparent that the bags were offset in the yoke (by design) but that they had sent me two of the same side resulting in an offset of the offset.
I'm thinking great, they're going to love the phone call they get when I get back from the trip letting them know that it took me a full year to discover the "problem".
Fast forward a few days later. We are having a blast on a great road in rural North Carolina, rt 29 I think, and I go whizzing by non other then Fox Creek Leather. What are the odds? Of course I turned around and went back to have the conversation in person. The gentleman looked at my like I had two heads as I tried to explain what happened but as soon as we walked over to my bike and I pointed out what I was talking about he was ready to make it right right there.
I was packed and the sun was heading down and we wanted to make it to Boone that night so he told me to pack them up when I got home and to give him a call and he would provide me with his UPS account # to ship them back and he would fix me right up.
I haven't made that call yet because I may need the bags again before snow flies but I have no reason to doubt he will honor his promise.
It seems like a real nice family run operation to me. I almost bought a jacket while I was there but I didnt want to spend the money at that time.
