Anyone else interested in the Biggest UK meet now is the time to stick your name down. You can book the campsite and pay on the day we all turn up.

The telephone number is 015396 25239 ask for Margaret and ask to be added to the bonnevilleamerica booking.

Those that have just booked the Saturday and wish to book the Sunday I cannot see a problem, as I think we will be in a field away from others anyway. A month to go

you don't have to live in the UK to turn up, jump on a plane, ride your bike

Right, guys, I know that, perhaps, I shouldn't put this here but I also know that it's the best place to put it. Here goes:

I'm after a solo seat for my Speedie so if anyone has either an aftermarket solo seat or a stock America seat that they'd like to sell or, ideally, trade for my stock Speedie seat (3k miles), let me know. Neill

Important if you have not ridden in a group before

If you are leading the group keep your speed down as the person at the back will be doing more than you to keep up.

Remember to keep a good distance from the bike in front of you, and staggered.

Try and read the traffic in front of you, especially the cages as they will try and pull in to split the group.

Above all keep your eyes on the road.

There is no hurry to get to the meeting places, so take your time and enjoy the ride. The M6 meet has an hour leeway.

When we have met on the M6 I will be taking us to the next turn off then through the Trough/Forest of Bowland, this way it should be easier to keep as a group.

This will take us through to the next meeting place at Caton (Bull Beck)

Meeting Times

All meeting places have toilet facilities and a place to get a cup of tea and food:-
Forton Services (M6) meet time between 11am and 12 noon. The
services is just past junction 32. I will meet you here.

Caton (Bull Beck) (A683) 12-30 – 13.00 This will be a short stop.

Devil’s Bridge (Kirby Lonsdale) (A65) 14.00.

ALL TIMES ARE A GUIDE SO PLEASE BE PATIENT

LET’S HAVE A GOOD TIME BUT A SAFE TIME

I know an organised bike rally weekend, steeped in history from the 1400's and it's own Brewery what more could one ask for in a weekend

We are all meeting here on Saturday night George & Dragon

Dent Brewery Ale on Tap in the Commons

Local MP Tim Farron sampled some Aviator ale from the Dent Brewery today in the House of Commons 'Strangers' bar. The ale is on tap as a guest ale in the Commons, a rare privilege that not many breweries achieve.

After drinking a pint, Tim commented:

"It is a pleasure to be able to bring Dent Brewery's beer to the Strangers bar in the House of Commons and I will be encouraging my colleagues to sample some Aviator ale.

"I was with representatives from the Kendal fire service today who having presented a petition to Downing Street took the opportunity to taste some Aviator ale themselves.

"I am delighted that Dent Brewery ales are being brought to a wider market, and this is a great opportunity to support a small local business. I hope I will be able to provide other local breweries with similar opportunities in the future."

T’OWD TUP - 6.0% ABV

A rich full flavoured, strong stout with a roast coffee aroma. The dominant roast character is balanced by a warming sweetness and a raisiny, fruit-cake taste which lingers on into the long aftertaste, making this a very satisfying drink.

CHAMPION WINTER BEER OF BRITAIN 1999

I wonder how much of this stuff will be drunk over the weekend

I see there is a "turn" on at the pub on Saturday 3 May plus a real ale festival. It's going to be busy even without us lot there!

I had informed the George & Dragon that we would be frequenting their public house on the Saturday at 9.00pm or before hand if we decide to have a meal there.

I got an Email from Anne explaining that meals will be no problem just expect a bit of a delay if there is a lot of us and also they need to take care of the residents first..

Anne also said "pre warned is pre armed"

Sorry to hear you're still hurting Gina. Hope you will recover by the meet. If not, sure several Guinness will work and if not you probably won't care anyway!
