I know....I've been trying to cut down on them, so I can drink like a fish again.... I didn't take any yesterday. But at 3 am this morning I knew I hadn't taken them. So got up and took some. Then back to the normal routine of morning and night.... I tried drinking like a fish on them at the local TOMCC Xmas party. I don't remember puking the entire contents of my stomach up, but my housemate remembers clearing it up. So if someone suggests I drink on them, they can clear up the mess!!!!
I may just have to take a couple extra and ride up...I now have a plan 4 which involves riding from the parents to somewhere like Buxton and stopping the night there on the Friday and on to Dent on the Saturday morning....but all the way back to Nottingham on the Monday... But will only make that decision on the Friday.

Sorry Gina, didn't realise you were having such a time of it. That sucks! Thought it was just a short term ache but sounds more serious..Maybe have a word with your Doctor, explain the situation and see what the options are? You really shouldn't be drinking with the painkillers if the advice is not to though. Hope you're on the mend soon, look forward to seeing you at Dent. Dave.

Yeah....It really is that $hit. I'm not riding too far, I think the fursthest I've ridden in the last couple of months was to Bath and back...25 miles each way and paid for it, and I'm back at work, just not doing my job. The doc at bupa Occupational Health says he happy for me to work, just not on a train....... but that is my work. I've been sat going crazy in the admin office - it's just so not me. I can hopefully go back on a train on the 22nd - I'm back at occ health on 21st, but it still won't be doing my complete job....just being evil over ticket examination. Getting there....just not quite all the way back at work. It's good they are easing me back into it also. I've been in the office till I'm ready to And short term....it happened on the 28th Novemeber... 106 days off sick and fourth week back at work. Except I'm on annual leave this week and next - it's leave from last year!!! But at least by the end of next week the 3HW might be on the road....it's ready for MOT, just I'm in Bristol at the mo. And no, there's no chance I'll be riding that to Dent!!!

It's not just annoying you, I've been annoying one of the other Guide Leaders at work, but as it's late at night and she's not there anymore...I can't do that.
I've also been doing work for Guides as well.

HI, Goliath here from up in not so sunny Scotland, just noticed the post about the meet and I will try to attend. I know the area you're heading to quite well as it's a favourite run for me as I have family in the area. Will bring my wife also, perhaps on her Shadow if she passes her test a week on Friday! and my good mate Stiff on his T/Bird. I may also manage to persuade another mate John to drag his America out of the shed if he's not working that weekend. Will be back in touch soon to confirm or otherwise. G

For those who are heading over from our neck the woods I thought we might meet at the ASDA petrol station at Monks Cross at around 11.00 on the Saturday if you fancy? Time enough for a leisurely ride over to Devils Bridge Kirkby Lonsdale to meet the rest the guys at 14.00?

Ok guys, P&O have decided to change my sailing time, I now arrive in at Troon at about 10.00 on Saturday morning ( I had origanialy booked to arrive at Cairnryan about an hour earlier) So I guess I will be making my way to A74 and on to Devils Bridge Kirkby Lonsdale. Anybody else heading down on the Saturday morning from Scotland?
