Ray, It's just me going - unfortunately my wife is working over the weekend.

If he wanted to. I am sure Grzegorz could steal that one away from you! Although he has a spangly new paint job, I am sure he could wire together all his old bits in an effort to win his 3rd rat-bike award

Hi Roger I plan on doing something similar, when I get around to organising something. Will also be taking in the places where they built and set off the V2 rockets. Have a good trip

Ray, Just booked up the campsite at Dent for the Saturday night, That will be me and the wife coming from York on a SM.
NI Biker I did the WW1 battlefields last year on my SM and a mate on a Rocket and we stayed at the Toc H. They were very accommodating and let us park the bikes in the museum overnight for safekeeping. The town of Poperinge has plenty of friendly bars and great Belgium beer. I also found the grave of my grandfather who died at Vimy Ridge, very poignant.

First I thought we could ride back to "Devils Bridge" and take a couple of photo's and then wave goodbye to those that are going home Sunday morning. Then I was thinking about where to have a ride, I know those that are only stopping the Saturday may not be interested in this, but we have 35 people and 22 bikes that may fancy a ride out in NORTH YORKSHIREI think either Oldgimmer or myself should be able to get us lost on our way up.. So who's up for this on the Sunday, I am sure you can always book another night if you fancy it.. Maybe we could contact the pub and get them to put some sandwiches on for us. I know we can get a cuppa rosie lee there

OUCH!!!
That's going to be one mother of a pain in the a$$ to keep organised mate.
Would it be useful if it could be split into 2 - 3 groups at the very least? I once lead 10 bikes - all who were used to riding together - and the different riding abilities is staggering
Factor in that they might be slowing down to rubber neck an area they might not have ridden before (he||, I still do that after how many visits mate??) and that many won't even know each other, let alone have ridden together.

Yea understand what you mean Funkletrumpet, Luckily it will all be on side roads (Lanes mainly) so we should just be able to take our time. Will discuss about it on the Saturday night in the pub.
We'll have 36 riding together when we all meet up..

This will depend on each person riding their bike, when we used to up into the lake district in the seventies we had over a hundred bikes in tow, granted all were experienced riders, but you just leave a good amount of distance from the bike in front of you. It is like doing a funeral march,
If everybody thinks its too much hassle, we can always stop on site or go our own ways.. Whichever suits at the time..

A mega ride out would be cool. I think it'l be the locals that'l be doing all the rubber necking I think as long as everyones got there map and they know where to meet up it will work. I dare say a few will want to fill up somewhere on the way anyway so that will split the group up.

Hi Dave
Not really organised a time as such, depends whether we go to "Devil's Bridge" Sunday morning first or just ride from the campsite.. Whereabouts are you in Lancashire?
Maps and destructions all printed and laminated, if you require petrol there is a petrol station in Hawes.

Don't panic folks! Jane not seen postings for a couple of days, and is on late shift today, so will be to shattered to look tonight, therefore she will not see it until at least tomorrow evening, by which time Gina will have calmed down, so we should only have to cope with one of them at a time! There, that is my theory

At the mo Tesco have cheap camping stuff in. Also try the Range . The one down has tents as well and all sort of cheap, but good stuff. They have one at Blackburn , Bolton and Rochdale round there. We use the stuff at Guides and if it can last the little terrors... Just don't buy a kettle and cooker....Ray goes nowhere without a brew! For anyone else not in the Accy area, click on the Range link above and it'll show you elsewhere in the country. They don't sell camping stuff on line, but they are all over the place...just not Scotland.

Ray, just don't expect to get served with food within an hour, they pretty slow, especially with a big order. Good grub though. Cheers Chris. Those plaques look great, wheres the shortest distance one. was that too big to fit on the table.
All the best

Forgive my intervention, but shoudn't you perhaps have a hyphen or something between MEET and DENT. I dunno, it looks like it could be misinterpreted, at least to me. If right, please don't shoot the messenger. If wrong, remember I am a foreigner.
