Often overlooked, and not very visible unless close-up, but the black u-shaped door edge moldings make an excellent accent strip to run around the bottom edge of our dash consoles. One door edge strip easily does it - just trim the ends. Separates the chrome console from the painted tank, and looks quiet natural doing it.
Inexpensive, easy mod that might also prevent some tank (or console) scratching when removing/reinstalling the console. Gives it some cushion. Dresses well with a wipe of silicone, too.
