I bought a 3/16" thick L-shaped shelf bracket and a T-shape piece from Home Depot, and a universal sissybar pad off eBay for a grand total of $14. Bolted the "L" under the pillion seat, and screwed the pad to the "T" and to the "L" bracket, maybe five minutes worth of work.
Makes a world of difference while riding any distance.
