I had no history to look back on. I had never owned a bike. I was 62 years old. I don't care for Japaneese names although they are very good machines. I went to a Harley dealer and they were a bit snutty and would not even talk to me. I went to another dealer and sat on a Bonny and a Daytona. I really liked the Daytona, but my old knees didn't like being bent like that. I sat on the Speedy and called my banker. He said that normally they did not loan money for bikes for old farts like me, but they would make an exception. That afternoon I had to have the saleman ride it home for me. I got a learner permit and practice, practice, practice, and went to the school. That was Sept 2004. It was and is the best first bike to learn on. I love it and now have 16,600 miles on her. I also like the idea of riding a bike from a country that has kids over in the war with our kids.
