My favorite bikes from my past were '69 Daytona 500 and a '71 Bonneville. I had a number of bikes after that but went 15 years without a bike. Many of my friends were buying Harleys and riding together. I wasn't interested until another friend asked if I'd seen the new Triumphs - they were making the classics again that were made better than the old days.
I actually went to the dealership 40 miles away to see the Bonny and T-100. They also had the Americas in all three colors. I drove the Mulberry/Graphite one home and never had an iota of buyers remorse. I've been riding for over 2 years with all my HD friends and wouldn't have anything else.
