Ok, so I took these about two months ago when I went up to Mt. Evans. I've been putting some stuff up on Flickr and just added these. Here are a few, nothing too special: All the photos

Well, shoot. Don't know why the images aren't working. I guess just follow the link to see them.

Great photos, thanks for sharing. One question, how did you take some of the pics at 40mph?

Looks like a very cool ride. Nice shot of the observatory from above. Thanks.

Great pics! I'm gonna go ahead and kick myself now for not making it up there during the summer. I've got to work this weekend, and I imagine heading up there anytime after September is gonna be a little cold and possibly snowy!

Very carefully! I had the camera strap around my neck, and every once in awhile would grap the camera and shoot off a few without aiming. Trashed a bunch since a lot showed the speedo up close.
I think the road is still open to the lake - but from the lake to the summit it's probably closed now (or really close to it). I bet the ride up wouldn't be too bad now, but it would be cold when you got up there. It's even cold at the summit in July when it's in the 90's down in Denver.

That brings back some great memories! My son and I were out there two years ago in July. When I picked him up at the airport it was 101 degrees. We drove straight from there to the parking lot at the summit and it was 35 degrees. By the way, the parking lot is at 14,127 feet!
The whole time driving up I kept wishing I was on my America. You are really lucky to be able to live and ride in all that great scenery.
