Really now! Color has very little to do w/ the fastest bike. Resale red, Go green, and sun shine yellow tend to be the fastest. Brown, Mint green, and pink not so much! Blue bike can be runners, so can orange bikes. Black bikes are like a cold beer on a hot summer day, no one is against that. BUT really gentlemen who out there is really running a fast bike??? I'll start by asking who is among the fastest?? Any body do any drag racing, any cafe to cafe racing, any neighood bragging rights??? Scott

next summer i will have 1/4 mile times. all i thinkwe have is dynos which dont prove which bike is fastest, only real way to tell is raceing. but drag raceing had many variables which a good rider can win on a slower bike. best way would be rolling drag races which i dont see happening to often amongst members here with hopped up bikes

Right now Colespeed is the undisputed speed champ with the Speedmaster SS - Nashville version. He ran it at Bonneville this Fall. Don't know any way to top that but to run and see what you do. Well, maybe a run at Maxton would qualify as well.
A guy in Philly was drag racing an America out of the MCS Triumph shop but he only posted once or twice than dropped out of site. That shop is no longer in my travels, so don't know if they continue to campaign that bike. I'm not aware of anyone else drag racing.
Time slips do it for me. You have the fastest slip - you are the fastest.

I did a track day, and overtook most things out there... That's not just straight line speed. That's subject to me not messing up the corners as well.
Ok so most things out there were old when I was born, but all the same they were going for it as much as I was....

Forgot about Jojje, yeah, he'd be at the top if not the pinnacle. A guy in VA had a nitrous system installed a year or two back but I don't think he ever dyno'd or raced it before dropping out of sight.

Lets see I have a Cb400F thats pretty fast, I have had a Triumph Legend that was really quick, a Big dog chopper that had a 113inch engine that would do a good job of getting out of its own way, Even had a Honda 600RR that I did not feel was fast.. Right now I own 3 bikes a 2007 sporty, the BA and my 2007 BUSA.. I have to say out of all 3 the BA is the slowest. but in its defense, I would much rather ride it then the sporty or the Busa for any amount of time.

Yep, Water Buffalo.
I had a GT550 triple 2 stroke too but traded that for my Norton and I also have 2 GT 380 Triples but those I have been robbing parts from for years and have been sitting outside for 15 years.

Time slips do it for me. You have the fastest slip - you are the fastest.
As long as we are sticking with SM's and America's I will post my time slip. Just remember this is on salt; I can go faster on asphalt but I don't have a time slip to prove that.

2001 TT600 Turbo - 162.47 mph - APS-BG 650 AMA Record
2006 Speedmaster - 111.101 mph on the Salt Flats
2000 Speed Triple - 63k memorable miles.

Guess you missed that one. I'd like to put myself in for the all go no dough catagory, my Rwhp to money ratio is up there for sure.

I realized that a time slip from you local law enforcement should also be considered as valid for top speeds.

No it shouldn't. Your Salt Flat time slip is a speed sustained over either 1mi or 1km, depending. A ticket can be just a flash reading. Or downhill. It's a bigger accomplishment to get a reading over a measured distance. More accurate too.

But if someone has the guts to get their top speed measured by the law on purpose I'd have to give them credit
