My wife played thru an Ampeg SVT years ago. That is 'the' killer bass amp, but it started having some problems.
She's using a Hartke amp thru EAW cabinets with EV Speakers which sounds very good.
I had a bass player that had a GK bass amp, but it sounded real puny and midrangey to my ears. Could have been the from his fingers though. Don't remember the model.
If you want that SVT grind, i've read good reviews on the Fulldrive Bass pedal by Fulltone.
