Today was the coldest morning that I've taken my bike to work this year. So I broke out the cold weather gear. My balaclava is only neck length so I wear a turtle neck dickie and the balaclava doesn't stay tucked into it. So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a longer one so I can ditch the dickie. (It's old and full of holes anyway.) It would have to fit under my helmet. Any suggestions?
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger......and then it hit me.

I use the regular buff and it's great down to the high 20s (remember, I DO get up to NC once in awhile! ). The versatility of it is really nice. If the quality of the polar buff is comparable, that's what I would get.

I cant remember the brand but I have one i bought at "Hot Leathers" last spring. Its fleace up to the chin, then thin cotton over the top. With a full face helmet it works great. The coldest air temp I've used it in was 35F..my hands and feet froze but neck and face where fine. Price was about 15 bucks. Oh the down side looks like you have a condom on your head when you take the helmet off.

Thanks guys. I just ordered this one. http://www.ruoutside.com/PD.aspx?P=1041Looks like good protection for face and neck and would keep my glasses from fogging up by actually letting my nose breath out of the mask itself instead of into the mask and up over my glasses.

If that seam down the middle proves to be uncomfortable, consider "Turtle Fur": http://skibuckmans.com/product_view.php?id=877

The seam is a non issue. We use 'em for the bike, ATV, snowmobile, and skiing-the whole family. Love 'em.

I think it is almost worth double what I paid for it. The fleece is warm and really blocks the cold air. Definitley love how versitle it is.
