I've got the Kuryakyn heel pegs and I think they are great. What they do is give you the option of resting your heel on them while the peg lets you stilllean you foot forward to get under the shifter. With the floorboards I imagine that you are locked into one position for your foot. I've got a 30" inseam and this setup works great for me.
