i just got and installed the new style seat for the misses, she sez it is way better than either of the previous ones she has sat on. we went for a 150mi ride yesterday and all was good. she used to want to get off after about 30to50 mi but we got around 100 before she said anything.

Same experience with my wife. I added the '07 pillion to my '05. She likes the fact it sits up higher and is narrower in the front - definitely more comfortable. I would highly recommend if your wife doesn't want to ride very long.

I've looked on the triumph website and the only seat they offer is the narrow arrangement. I even recorded the new part number from previous threads as: T2304665 Touring Pillion Pad but can't find it on the net. So can someone tell me where the new seat is bought from please?

Your right it doesn't list it online but all you have to do is contact your dealer and they can order it for you.

i purchased a new pillion for my wife about 2 months ago. she still wanted more cushion. i attached a jell pad to that . she still can only ride about 50 miles before a break. just be resolved that your going to have to take more coffee breaks. i love my wife and the bike. BEST OF BOTH.

If that's the "Triumph touring pillion" that's been around for a while, I think this new one is yet another #. Not the previous touring pillion, but the new '07 BA part. Don't know exactly what the difference is, but some have said the new one is different & the better one of the two.
Said Molly to James, that's a fine motorbike.

The number T2304665 is the new 07/later pillion. It is larger and shaped differently than the older "Touring Pillion" that is still available. Here is a link to a Birmingham dealer that shows both on their site. Bogart's (07 pillion)The pad in the picture is NOT the new seat, but the new number and price are shown.

Wow! I just got back from the dealer and saw the passenger pillion on the new America. Its amazing how much bigger that seat is. The size of it looks much more comfortable for the passenger.

Newt, Thanks for letting us know how she likes the new seat. Like I said before my wife hated the stock seat and the touring seat was only slightly better. I'm going to replace the springs and shocks on my bike first, but if she doesn't have her own bike by next riding season then I'll upgrade her seat (again )

hey jim, yep went down that same road. the first one 02, then the next touring version, and like you said, slightly better, i think the word she used was tolerable hahahaha but the thing about this new one is its designed better. narrower in the front and wider in the back and thicker. i dont think its the thicker part that means much, so it aint about the bumps or springs and stuff, i think it's more to do with the design. as a matter of fact, i have the short backrest and now she sez because the seat is thicker the backrest is to short hahahahahaha she was always pretty happy with the thickness of the touring seat, it was the shape that bothered her and now she wants the rear pegs up a little.......women???? hahahahahahaha
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

That is another point to think about. The new seat sits up about an inch higher than the previous pillions. You really need the tall back rest. Also, my wife doesn't like the hard bumps, so I have the rear shocks set for how I like the ride solo and leave it there when riding 2-up. It makes for a softer ride and takes the jolt out of the bumps. I tried setting it where it should be and she didn't like it at all.
