Yah, I know, the moderators will wonder why I spoke such blasphemy!!  It's just that sometimes I'd like to have a conversation with somebody I see is online the same time as me. This would also be an interesting replacement for the Mark and Matt/Yutes show!  OK...tell me I'm crazy, too much work  I got nobody to play with here in Albuquerque, and I'm bored and lonesome yea, Booo Hooo...big tuff Harley guy..sniff  Think I'll have some more scotch!   later, Tom.

If anyone would want to do that post their IM like I use yahoo and you could IM at the same time as being on here. My Yahoo is almost never on but I'm sure anyone who wanted to do that would turn it on for that purpose. The mail part of this board kind of works like that.

awwww..Buck up little trooper..I dont think youd see a chat room in BA.Com's future.With the arguments and insults (yes i've been guilty of that) that occurr in the forum itself. A chat room would be a moderators nightmare. Lets face it some of us have a hard time playing nice with the other children.

This was mentioned a while ago.
Back then it was said that the lounge IS a chat room.
All subjects (within the allowance of the AUP) are raised and discused.
Whatever you call it (lounge or chatroom), you can talk back and forth with anyone else who is online.
It was also said that there are plenty of other specific 'chatroom' sites available.
I can't be bothered to do a search but I bet someone out there could find it ...

Well it isn't really a chatroom. For anyone who hasn't been in one,in a chat room what everyone says shows up in real time and you can scroll back and forth and carry on a conversaion with out waiting for the board to reload with the new post on it. I don't think we really need that here. With Yahoo (and I am sure others) the IM also offers a conference feature where you open up a sort of mini chatroom and anyone invited can join. So you can have 2,3,4,10, how ever many you want and carry on a conversation.
I was used to that format when I first came here so I would post then have another thought and post again and so on and I caught flack for it and was accused of pumping my post count. I could care less about post count as I am sure is the same with most on here.
