Don't know much about that stretch of Rt 66 - been on a piece going east from OKC, and ride the piece here in AZ quite a bit! Since I almost live on it - here in Flagstaff!!! This weekend is our Rt 66 festival, car show and stuff going on all weekend!!!

Scott,
I have ridden the stretch from Clinton through OKC to Stroud on 66 and you are in for a treat, especially when you get east of OKC. I highly recommend stopping in Arcadia and seeing the round barn which is an historic landmark. While you are there stop by the Biker Shak next door. The owners are very friendly and while they are not a large shop, they have a nice selection of gear. Two places that are fun to stop for lunch or just to take a brake is Pops right before Arcadia, and Rock Cafe in Stroud. Pops just opened up and looks like a giant retro drive-in diner, you can't miss it. They have over 200 varieties of soda for your enjoyment. Rock Cafe in Stroud has been around since the heyday of Route 66 and hasn't changed much since then. I haven't been able to travel further than that so you will have to return the favor and let me know what you discover on your trip. Have a safe ride!
