My dealer told me that Triumph puts a 2 year warrenty on their bikes. So why don't you call them up and give it a try. If you got an '05 they should replace it for free. They are willing to work with you warrenty work because their shop gets paid by Triumph for doing it. My dealer just couldn't.
It never hurts to ask unless someone sewed a zipper into your lips like this guy >
