It first starts out golding, then bluing, and eventually blue/black. If the cause doesn't change, it will get worse. My old Triumphs were discolored just about from the get go, like the "classic" Triumphs today. I like the double walled headers and my America with 9500 miles looks like new. I want to keep it that way.
Make sure there is no AI. Get some more open exhausts, remove the snorkles, and re-jet the carbs. It should run quite a bit better with more power - more like it was designed to run. It should also eliminate the continued blueing.
