I just cut a small piece of wood to fit over the cylinders then pressed that with my fingers. Went in relatively easily and suprised myself.
I had took the caliper off and made sure it was clean and everything was alright with the rubbers, i.e they were not perished and the caliper would still move when bolted up again.
