I think Herman might even be too short to ride that monstrosity.

Why don't they just cut to the chase and call them Mad Max style? The long version: Post-Apocalyptic Near Future Cheesy Sci-Fi Flick Bad Guy Bike.

Just looking at that, I'm thinking it's a "proof of concept" thing more than anything else. It looks like a home-made redesign of BMW's Telelever suspension, with the spring & shock relocated below the tank instead of being built into the forks.

At least, I'm hoping that's what that monstrosity is.

I don't know why, but I'm thinkin' that if some unsuspecting little innocent girl would happen to venture too close to it, Sigorney Weaver would pop up out of somewhere and say to this thing.."GET AWAY FROM HER, YOU B*TCH!!!"

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I think youd need about 6 foot long arms to ride it.

I wanna make one. I wonder how he got that transaxle to work and not leak with just 1 axle. I have tons of that kind of stuff around.

Dunno why they would call those survival bikes, most look like they didn't survive. Looks more like a core meltdown in a junkyard.

If you zoom in enough, I believe that badge on the tank says Yamaha.

I think a certain amount of kudos are deserved if they can ride these things, looking like they do, without having them fall apart like they were OCC-built.

I think thats the qualification for most of these bikes...you have to ride them across country and destroy them even more while on the road in order to fall into line with the classification...but i dont think that alien bike made it across the parking lot, let alone the country..haah

I get looks when i pull into the gas station with my bike, i cant imagine riding that thing up to the pump and reaching over my head to fill the tank...ahah

Heh, where do you mount the step-stool for gassing up? Maybe he could mount some of those fold-up steps from an RV.
