I think I'm getting ready to do something about this stock seat and I was wondering if you all could help. Does it really take 2000 miles to break in a Corbin, and how does if feel in the meantime ? Did most of you get leather or the breathable vinyl - and why did you decide either way. Thanks a lot for any help or advice.

No break in time for the corbins. They either come plush or not. Sure the leather conforms to your backside over time, but not to the point of softening up.

Leather breathes, vinyl doesn't.

My comfort is on top of the saddle's upholstery. Not in it.

Everyone's butt is different. Thus I won't sell you on corbin. I have two corbin saddles.
