I have come to believe it is a matter of taste and butt dimensions. In many cases the Corbin is a status symbol I think since you can get great results from doing a gel insert in the stock seat. I can see cases where a short inseam might call for a lower profile seat or a different shape for a different shape would be the ticket. It all boils down to what the individual needs or wants and what they find comfortable. If we all found the same thing comfy there would be no sleep number bed or aftermarket seats or even different style bikes with different riding position.
