In an attempt to make a quasi bobber, I am still making the decision of whether or not to make an attempt to mount a spring seat. I'm sure that we can do it, but has anyone been successful with this? I'm sure that you would have to fit a cover to fit over the hole under the seat.
If anyone has any pictures, I would love to see them. I am planning on doing the freak kit over the winter. Thanks.

[image] [/image] I had no problems mounting it. I have to yet make a plate for underneath so rain doesnt get in the airbox. Got lots of compliments on the look! Good Luck.

I bought the seat on ebay. Do a search for "solo seat" in ebay motors...there are a 1000 of em on there. Basic style. The ride is awesome! Not only do I get the cushion from the swing arm, but I get it from the springs as well. The springs are 3 inch from ebay as well. Good luck

Did you have to weld a receiver onto the frame below the tank mount? Where are the springs attached to under the seat? Did you go directly to the fender or to the cross member that is under there?

didnt weld anything. Had to drill 2 holes in the frame under the seat to mount the springs. For that I just used double sided thread bolts like on a car water pump. Tapped the holes, screwed em in, lock tite and away we roll. As for the front, the bracket that came with the seat allowed me to slide it under the bolt that holds the tank on and then I just bent the other attachment point and screwed in, lock tite...and again-away we went. Was VERY Easy to do. I'll see if I cant up under there with it installed so you can visualize it better than my explanation.
