Mac,
Gruss Gott! My unit is stationed an hour and a half from Schweinfurt in Ansbach, Bavaria. If I told you my current location I might violate our OPSEC but...if I remember correctly, Schweinfurt, although in Bavaria, are proud Franconians, whereas Ansbachers are proud Bavarians so I'll make sure not to tell any of my neighbors this conversation.

All,
As for the "Veteran" status I must add my 2 euro cents (they're worth more!):
If you served your country, you are a Veteran! They're is only two types of service...preparing for war, or in it. Either way you are serving this country and the people of it. Whether you're Infantry or Human Resource, Airborne or Air Assault, SEAL or Chaplain

, Front Line or Rear D, Marine or Air Force,Vietnam or OEF, 4 years or 20, you are my brother...a Veteran. If you've already been "in" may God Bless you for your service, if you're still serving may He bless you on the trail.

Pro Deo et Patria!
-John
