I had a Touring Screen fitted to my America yesterday. The buffeting is so bad that it shakes my helmet and blurs my vision at 60+ mph. Is it just me or has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it is my Nolan N102 lid that is causing the issue.

Paul, I tried to wear a Nolan one time. Just this past January I rode home from Daytona and had the worst headache and was fit to be tied. I returned the helmet and got an HJC. Nolans fit round heads better.

The windscreen issues.

I have both a Roadster Screen and a Summer Screen. They both are leaning up against the wall in my closet. Living in Florida, I don't ride in the conditions that demand a screen. Cold weather! Both screens buffet. If you ride above posted speeds the screens buffet bad. I guess the summer screen is a lolly gag "I don't have anywhere to be in a hurry" type of screen. I put 2300 miles on one in a week and was ready to see how it flew (frisbee style).

Times I wish I could conjure up a screen:
Raining
Cold
Buggy nights
Dirt roads following someone

That brings to mind something about the "Summer Screen": What is the point? Summer time is HOT! The screen keeps the air off of you so why have one at all?

Screens. The compromisial buffet.

P.S.: That black rubber edging that fits on the perimeter of the screen will help lessen the buffeting.
