A few years ago they brought that one kid in from Florida (can't remember his name). He was a that one that actually had talent at sheet metal work.

Prior work at other chopper shops a plus. Serious inquiries only please. Benefits and 401K available. Chance for advancement.

But will i get to be a TV Star, and can i run around throwing tantrums (amoungst other things) at Senior.

The bad side, it gets mighty cold up there.

I already do buts thats another thread.

I like the part were it says "chance for advancement"
what does that mean? your own TV show? Or does it mean the old man could adopt you and give you one of the kids jobs?

401k is a retirement plan that US emplyers have used to replace real pensions.

You make weekly contributions to a fund, most employers will make a percentage matching contribution.

For example: You contribute 6% of your weekly pay, depending on how "generous" your employer is, He may macth that or part of it. You get a tax break, if you leave the money there until age 57.

(don't ask Hoffo...but Jack here will get that one, sure enough!)

That's like our Superannuation schemes down under here in Aust.We pay 6% and employer matches it, you can also put in a volontary % yourself and I think the Govt will match that one as well - Let me in on the JAMAL joke.

Oh and BTW, here's how I feel about this whole job opening thing here....

Laugh all you want, you guys, but MY old business cards say.."Have wrench and obnoxious attitude. Will travel"! Surprising huh?! Didn't know I can weld a mean wrench, did ya?(the other part o' that I KNOW you knew...and I ain't talkin' 'bout the "travel part" that's on that card EITHER, mind ya!!!)

And seein' as how I've got TONS o' free time lately since I retired(as evidenced by my increased posting count since my retirement date..well, they're a LITTLE higher, anyway)...I'M on my way to New Jersey to help....err..that's right, I forgot...I just found out that those guys are in New YORK instead!!!

(kind'a shows ya how much I've paid attention to those fellas back there over all these years, huh?!)

YA see???!!! I could fit RIGHT IN with those other clueless guys there in New Jers..ahem..NEW YORK!!!!

So if nothin' much has changed with their operation back there since I watched that first year(as I said, don't really know for sure 'cuz I only sort'a watched a little of the first year that they were on my TV and not much since), my first move will be to chuck all those darn V-Twin engines that they seem so fascinated with, and find a Triumph engine to assemble into one o' their back-breaking rigid frames for that there dude who looks just like a Walrus and who'll be my new employer!!!

Hey...Nowdays a guy's got to suppliment his pension SOMEHOW, ya know!!!

(BTW Hoffo, I'll let Jack clue ya in on that inside joke o' our's, dude)

So, wrenches are pretty thick so I'm thinking you arc welded them, not Mig, Tig or Oxy-Acetylene.

Superglue, there FJ! Superglue!

As I said, the few times I've watched those guys assemble a bike back there in NEW YORK, I think a few of 'em could probably hold their machines together better with THAT substance instead of weld...ahem...WIELDING a WELDER'S torch!

(yep! ya got me there, Dude...good eye!)

More than that, at least $401.001; automatic increase to $401.025 upon completion of a 6 month probationary period.

Pauly is a classic example of a seasgull manager.

Flys in, craps all over everything, then flys off.

The more i watch the show, and i will admit to watching them all, but the more i watch it the more i think the real talent lies with Vinnie and the guy who makes the gas tanks, cant remember his name. They are certainly the only guys who seem to do any work in the custom shop.

But i must admit, i do enjoy the show. Except for when Senior and Pauly go off on one of their tantrums. That stuff really does get old.

That's Rick that makes the gas tanks. They're nothing without Rick, Vinnie and Nub Grafix paint jobs.

Yeah, kind of funny, but it seems like they have SOMEONE ELSE do a LOT of their stuff!!! I'd feel good about paying $50G for something someone else farmed out!!

They already have one fat goofy basturd on that show. It would get crowded really quick.

Besides, I'd much rather come work for you, Russell.

Sorry Im an old hand. Watched that progarm a time or two, and I wont even hesitate to say that what they build is and will always be junk. Sorry, but I started putting briggs and straton engines on 20' bikes when I was ten, and that was in 1960. That was the same year I started riding real motorcycles, Triumph Cub. Nothing agaisnt Harley. Done right and maintained well their as good a bike as there is out there,I know Ive owned six, and still have my 75 Cop Spl. But when you start cutting frames and putting things on a bike that were never ment to be on a motorcycle, you are asking for trouble, that ussally means it gonna take time to heal

48 years riding, 42 on the road.

Odd that they are looking for someone who knows what he's doing. How would such a person ever fit in?
