We got a good view herein Brisbane, intermittant cloud cover though - Went inside grabbed a bottle of Bushmills Single Malt, put Dark Side of the Moon on the stereo and we all (me the missus & 2 kids)sat on the roof of the shed and watched the whole eclipse - great to do somethin spontaneous - the neighbourers thought it was cool and joined us on the roof, 1/2 bottle of bushmills later with a very shakey exit off the roof and report that a good night was had by all.

The moon had already slipped below the mountains when the appointed hour arrived. Even so, I had a great ride last night on a dark highway under the full moon with only sporadic traffic interrupting my reverie.

I went out at 4:30 AM EST and nothing. Moon looked totally normal so I gave up and went to bed.

I saw it at 0430 AM today on the way to the gym. Really nice view of it hanging in the low Western sky

Saw it - it was pink, same as every other time. My client didn't go nuts (contrary to expectations) but others in the centre I work in did.

Didn't catch it.
Nice follow up though, full moon tonight

BTW, first proper lunar eclipse I saw was on my wedding night.
Got married in Cyprus, took a trip on a clipper ship to see the sunset - the only day in 14 days that was cloudy and the only night with no sunset (someone 'up there' trying to tell me something??) but a lunar eclipse instead. Bonus.

Awsom view of it from here in Nelson, NZ... Not a cloud in the sky, started around 9pm and red by 10... It's amazing how without the glare of the full moon it seemed so much closer, just hanging there with the void of space and distance beyond it...
