 torque between the 02-07 models

are there any difference in HP and torque between the 02-07 models ?
i have a 07 and in the papers it says 55hp and 69 nm and when i surf the net i find that the older models have 61 hp an´d 69 nm

This depends on what you are riding the 790 motor or the 865 motor so yes there would be a difference

The 790cc (older models) have more hp and less torque than the 865cc (newer models). Major difference in the cams.

i have the 865 engine but i have been told that it has less HP than the 790 engine...can it be right ?

Manual says the 790 has 62PS @ 7400 RPM and 60 NM torque @ 3500 RPM

ok.. thx  my 865 has 55 ps @ 6750 rpm and 69 nm torque @4800 rpm

The big difference that makes the 865 produce less power and peak at a much lower speed is that the exhaust valves close at BDC. The Model T Ford had more radical valve timing. This is good for meeting emissions requirements without going to fuel injection, but the engine will not respond well to any attempts at increasing power until the valve timing is improved.

I saw the section on Dinqua's site about replacing the exhaust cam with the intake cam from a 790. What kind of gains does this give?
