My new handlebars came in today. I was wondering if the stock left grip will slide off with enough pulling or will i have to cut?
I have to wait til thursday when I'm off to switch everything over. besides to dark now to do anything with them.

1) remove the end cap 2)slide a slim flat head screw driver under the lip of the grip 3)slide the nozzle (straw) of your wd40 under the grip next to the the screw driver and spray it in there 4) twist the grip and slide it off
No cuttin' needed, but be sure to clean the wd40 off the grip really well.

I pulled mine off by working a little dish soap under it,went pretty easily and didn't cause any damage to either the old bars or the grip. Bar end was of course removed first.

thanks for that. i forgot about the end pieces. i know the end piece comes off, does the inner part(weight?) come out too?

pull the end cap...take your compressor air nozzle...poke it under the grip...blast away...pops right off

Use an air compressor, I use an attachment that you would fill up an inflatable pool. slip it between the grip and the bar and it will slid right off, it takes about 3 sec to remove it, it also works to put it back on. then you wont have to worry about cleaning out and oils or lubricants before reinstalling.

Save youself a headache and use your wife's hair dryer to warm the grips and glue before you start poking around with that tiny screwdriver.
