Finally got the latest Triumph Magazine in the mail today. First glance it looks better. But, haven't started reading it yet, so I am guessing it is teh same stuff, different wrapper. I miss seeing peoples rides and RAT listings (they went away a long time ago).

RAT missing is fine with me, RAT is missing in itself.
The mag looks nice.

I got mine today too. Skimmed through it once, didn't see one picture of an America or Speedmaster.

+1
The article "Streetsahead" penned by Roland Brown. Very misleading in that throughout the article, are pictures of 'she wears' and 'he wears'. Well he wears is not Roland Brown. Nice job of selling stuff, but my eyes like white background for text.

Sure has an expensive feel to it, very glossy and well done. Content is always a little generic, good bathroom read. Guess we're just too global for local RAT news, etc.

Looked nice, but totally lacking in the cruiser department. Last year they changed the name from Torque to Triumph. It looks now like the name should be Triple.

That isn't a magazine, it's a advertisement...

I got mine yesterday and glanced through it as well. It does appear mainly to focus on the new Street Triple and the new Tiger - which does have a logic to it in that those are the newest models which current Triumph owners may not have been exposed to. I don't recall seeing a Sprint in the mag either...
I'm sure if/when the new 1500 cruiser comes out, there will be an entire issue of the magazine that's dedicated to that and other cruisers. Then the sport bikers will be whining that the mag is all about cruisers and not them...
It's a free magazine that contains info on a brand I'm proud of, regardless of the product. It'll take a few more issues before I start making judgments about it.

If you're a registered member of RAT you get it in the mail quarterly. The one I got yesterday was the "July" issue, so if you're a member, be patient, you'll be receiving your glossy Canon and clothing ads soon enough!

Always has been, even when it was Torque.
But I do have to say that the new mag is shiny.

They have done a very good job of upgrading the talent in the photo shoots. I do wish they would include more about touring and riding experiences from Triumph riders. Also a customization section. Those were nice. Overall the product has been upgraded 300% since I first became a RAT member in 2003.

You do have to re-join every December, though, or you will be dropped.

I just got the mag too. After flipping through the pages to no America/Speedmaster writeups I came with this idea: Perhaps Triumph sends the cruisers (us) sport bike mags ( I mean ad), why would we want to read advertisements about our ownbikes we already bought a cruiser maybe one of us will buy a sport bike. meanwhile they send all the sport riders the cruiser mag(oops I mean add) and perhaps acouple of them buy a 'slow' bike for grins. Just a thought...

I have had a son in the hospital all week, with no new mags to read. He had an emergency appendectomy last week, then it abcessed over the weekend, so to the emergency room we went Monday night. He is okay - lots of antibiotics after a "procedure" Tuesday. Maybe we get out today following a negative C-T scan this morning. I have been expecting a new CycleWorld, or Motorcycle Consumer News, or Rider, (or Triumph?) mag every day - sure seems like it's been too long on the MCN and Rider last issues. Would figure that the day I have to go back to work they will all hit the mailbox at the same time????

Well it's official I'm a RAT. It's funny that I never looked more onto the web site to find that info. The next thing for my to do is to contact the Indy RAT chapter.
