First time out to a Biker meet on my BA I pulled onto the crowded parking lot and found a place at the end of a line that was on a double slope, (front and left uphill), so the kick stand was on the high side of the slope. I put the kick stand down and got off.
The bike drew the attention of the cruiser fraternity, several of whom began to walk over for a closer look.
As soon as I got off the bike, it started to slide downhill. Luckily I was standing close by taking my helmet off and I was able to grab the front brake and keep hold of my helemet without dropping either.
I looked around feeling a bit stupid but my fellow gentlemen bikers all semed to be looking in other directions. A few discrete minutes later they came over and not a mention of my error.
Like the old tale of a guy walking into a shower room discover a naked lady already in there. to save her blushes he says "Sorry mate" and closes the door.
